Soulcraft: Crossing into the Mysteries of Nature &
Psyche by Bill Plotkin ISBN: 9781577314226 $33 |
Charting a course through the underworld
pathways with the heart of a shaman, mapping the powers of myth and
psyche with all the soul and interpretive skill of Jung or Campbell,
Plotkin's guide to the journey of initiation is to nature-based soulwork
what Huxley's Doors of Perception was to consciousness studies. This
book is an immense treasure that will provide wisdomseekers,
psychologists, shamanic practitioners, and seasoned wilderness guides
alike with a fresh heart-opening soul language, a new mythos for
fathoming the depths of change, as well as time-tested practical methods
for navigating the landscape of authentic transformation. In essence,
Soulcraft is Plotkin's "soul gift," a user's manual for the journey of
the human soul, as well as a guide to the futurescape of why we are all
really here. It is required reading for anyone guiding other people in
soulwork, or delving deep into their own. As philosopher Parker Palmer
has said, "The way to God is down." Plotkin shows the way. "Here is an abundantly wise and carefully crafted survival guide for the wild soul currently dozing (or dying) at the heart of your civilized life. Plotkin has wandered again and again into the nourishing darkness, and has returned with this earthly bundle of insights and images -- talismanic tools for awakening to the outrageous depths both within us and all around us. He has bound them into a book that is immensely practical, alive with ritual intelligence, thick with useful tools from a host of courageous comrades." David Abram, author of The Spell of the Sensuous |

The Hidden Spirituality of Men: Ten Metaphors to
Awaken the Sacred Masculine by Matthew Fox ISBN: 9781577316077 $40 Hardcover More Books about Men's Business HERE |
It is no secret that men are in trouble
today. From war to ecological collapse, most of the world’s critical
problems stem from a distorted masculinity out of control. Yet our
culture rewards the very dysfunctions responsible for those problems. To Matthew Fox, our crucial task is to open our minds to a deeper understanding of the healthy masculine than we receive from our media, culture and religions. Popular religion forces the punitive imagery of fundamentalism on us, pushing most men away from their natural yearning for spirituality and toward intolerance and domination. Meanwhile, many men, particularly young men, are looking for images of healthy masculinity to emulate and finding nothing. To awaken what Fox calls ‘the sacred masculine’, he unearths 10 metaphors or archetypes, ranging from the Green Man, an ancient pagan symbol of our fundamental relationship with nature, to the Grandfatherly Heart to the Spiritual Warrior. He explores archetypes of sacred marriage, showing how partnership becomes the ultimate expression of healthy masculinity. By stirring our natural yearning for healthy spirituality, Fox argues, these timeless archetypes can inspire men to pursue their higher calling to reinvent the world. “Matthew Fox might well be the most creative, the most comprehensive, surely the most challenging religious-spiritual teacher in America.” – Thomas Berry, author of The Great Work |

The Soulwork of Clay: A Hands-On Approach to
Spirituality by Marjory Zoet Bankson ISBN: 9781594732492 $35 More books about Contemporary Spirituality HERE |
A creative exploration of seven steps of
spiritual growth. Drawing on her first-hand experience of
working with clay, Bankson takes readers through the seven-step
process of making clay into a pot, drawing parallels at each stage
to the process of spiritual growth:
• Grounding: Connecting with our core
elements Because clay is such an elemental substance, Bankson proposes that it calls us to let go of our pretensions—“it’s just mud!”—and play as a little child. This simple connection with the earth, however, has the potential to put us “in touch with the whole of creation and, at the same time, our soul’s longing to participate as an artist, creating something new and unique.” Through reflective questions in each
chapter—along with a wealth of unique clay projects that even
beginners can do!—Bankson invites us on a journey of spiritual
discovery, a path of reconnecting with our body and spirit, and with
the earth itself. |

The same emotions, fears, and potential disasters are often present, but instead of living them, you begin to witness with love. Instead of using the mind, energy, emotions, and the body against each other, you find all manifestations of fear and doubt to be precious resources of potential energy that are simply trapped and waiting to be freed. You are a vast, magical being just waiting to dance into the unknown, move beyond the structure of fear, and expand your heart to hold more love and energy. |

The Soul of Autism by William Stillman ISBN: 9781601630056 $25 More books on Contemporary and New Age Spirituality are HERE |
"The Soul of Autism reveals the often
unrecognized spiritual gifts of those ‘on the spectrum’ and explains how
they can help all of us. William Stillman believes the world needs
autism. After reading this moving and inspiring book, you will see why.”
- Melissa Chianta, managing editor, Mothering magazine “I believe the world owes William Stillman a debt of gratitude for the courage it took him to research and write this book. It is filled with rare wisdom and amazing stories that will totally surprise you!” — P.M.H. Atwater, Th.D., author of Beyond the Indigo Children. More children will be diagnosed with autism this year than with AIDS, diabetes, and cancer...combined. In Autism and the God Connection, William Stillman presented extraordinary accounts of spiritual giftedness in autistic children and adults, persons often deemed intellectually inferior. Now, in The Soul of Autism, Stillman shows: • Why the unaccountable and dramatic rise in autism—with no single known cause—is a necessary part of our spiritual evolution. • The secret component that makes autistic telepathy possible for us all, and how we can learn to use it. • How certain autistics communicate with animals and how what the animals are saying is pertinent to the rest of us. • How anyone can tap into the multi-sensory giftedness possessed by many autistic children and adults. We have much to learn from our autistic friends about transcendence rising, a new humanity accessible for all. The Soul of Autism illuminates the way. |

Pele's Wish: Secrets of the Hawaiian Masters and
Eternal Life by Sondra Ray ISBN: 9781930722446 $23 More books on Contemporary and New Age Spirituality are HERE |
Bestselling New Age author Sondra Ray introduces Hawaiian spirituality - and indigenous wisdom - to the mainstream. The wisdom and spirituality of Hawaiian elders is a facet of Hawaiian culture that outsiders rarely see or truly understand. New Age veteran Sondra Ray and her personal guide, Auntie Pua, act as messengers of the Aloha spirit, sharing the sacred teachings of the Kahunas — the “transmitters of secrets” — through kitchen-table style storytelling and first-hand adventures. The ancient rituals and basic tenets of the Huna way — loving oneself, nurturing other beings and the land, and Close living in harmony with all of life — provide a powerful code of transformation, leading to a deeper spiritual life more in tune with the rhythms of the natural world. By identifying the three core selves present in everyone, and in coordinating the way the three selves interact, readers learn to control their own reality — this is the Huna Way. |
